Cavision 4 x 4″ Orange 0.3 Graduated Filter

Cavision 4 x 4 Orange 0 3 Graduated Filter is a soft-edged graduated color filter that provides a bright orange coloration and overall warming effect.

The Cavision 4 x 4 Orange 0 3 Graduated Filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

The filter measures 4 x 4″ / 101.6 x 101.6mm and is constructed of 4mm-thick glass. The 0.3 filter is a medium density and provides a subtle amount of orange coloration.

The Cavision 4 x 4 Orange 0 3 Graduated Filter is compatible with filter holders that can accommodate 3mm thick, 4 x 4″ rectangular filters. It helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.

The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze.

A polarizing filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.
