An onboard switch allows selection between cardioid, figure-8, and omnidirectional polar patterns, and the high max SPL of 118 dB allows you to use the Universal Audio Bock 251 Tube Condenser Microphone on sound sources that vintage 251s would balk at. Engineered for a lifetime of exquisite recording, the Universal Audio Bock 251 Tube Condenser Microphone comes with a dedicated external power supply, a shockmount, and a premium, vintage-style suitcase for convenient storage and transport.

Switched Polar Patterns

Onboard pickup pattern switching allows you to select between cardioid, figure-8/bidirectional, and omnidirectional. This provides a great amount of flexibility for applying the wonderfully warm tube tone of the 251 on many different sound sources, from vocal duets and solo performers, to orchestras and room mic duties.
