Aston Microphones Origin Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone Bundle – Black

The Aston Origin Condenser Microphone combines the company’s Origin microphone with their Swiftshield pop filter and shock mount kit.

The Origin, presented here in a finish called rock’n’roll black, is a cardioid condenser microphone that utilizes a 1” gold-evaporated capsule.

It is versatile enough to use with most instruments, such as acoustic guitar and strings, and sounds great on vocals. Its hand-selected capsule is combined with transformer-less circuitry to deliver accurate sound reproduction.

The mic has a mesh-knit pop filter built into the waveform head. The weave allows sound to pass while reducing unwanted plosives.

This single-piece mesh cage is formed of stainless steel, so it won’t rust with use and can even be removed and washed. A mount is also built into the microphone for fixing it to mic stands.

However, this bundle comes with Aston’s Swiftshield Universal Shockmount and Pop Filter for added isolation and plosive protection. Sit the mic in the basket, and it will be isolated from structural-borne vibrations.

The pop shield is constructed out of stainless steel with hexagonal filter holes. It mitigates vocal plosives while preserving the tone of the Aston Origin Microphone.
