This mic offers a cardioid polar pattern that facilitates greater degrees of isolation during recording; whatever you put in front of the mic will be captured, and elements to the sides and rear of the mic will be minimized.

The capsule provided here measures 1.1″ in diameter, is sputtered in gold, and offers a 3-micron-thick design to give you a balanced, yet lush sound.

With a wide frequency response measuring 20 Hz to 20 kHz, the Samson CL7A Large Diaphragm microphone can help you capture a panoply of instruments and vocals, and a subtle lift around 15 kHz gives you a feeling of air.

The Samson CL7A Large Diaphragm microphone provides a 10 dB pad for better miking drums. A 12 dB/octave high-pass filter can be switched on at 100 Hz to reduce rumble and wind noise.

The mic requires phantom power to operate and can accept between 36 and 52V. The capsule offers an internal shockmount for both protection and isolation from any noise caused by vibrations.
