Simplify the recording process and attain the audio performance of a large-format console in a compact and elegant desktop package with the Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface, a high-performance 10×4 USB audio interface designed by respected experts for musicians, producers, voiceover artists, and more.
The Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface boasts a pair of the same Class-A mic preamps found in Audient’s world-class consoles, ensuring gold-star treatment for your dynamic or phantom-powered condenser microphones.
A harmonically rich JFET 1/4″ instrument input is also provided, so you can plug your guitar or bass directly into the interface and get the character of valve amplifiers.
Outfitted with 24-bit / 96 kHz Burr-Brown AD/DA converters, the iD14 delivers premium accuracy while remaining natural and musical, devoid of problems caused by distortion and unstable clocking.
The inclusion of a TOSLINK optical port enables digital input expansion via an ADAT- or S/PDIF-equipped external mic preamp or A/D converter.
With stereo 1/4″ monitor outputs, an independent Class-AB headphone output, and comprehensive console-style monitor control, the iD14 interface lets you listen to your content in high quality, smoothly adjust your levels, and access dim, cut, mono sum, and more.
Plus, there’s the revolutionary Scroll Control, a function that can be used to control anything over which your mouse pointer hovers.
DAW software, virtual instruments, samples, cabinet simulations, and more are included to get you started on your path toward achieving polished productions.
The iD14 can be powered via USB from your Mac/Windows computer when phantom power is not needed and it includes a 12 VDC power supply to enable the use of 48V phantom power.
Two Class-A Microphone Preamps
The Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface incorporates a Class-A microphone design developed by legend David Dearden and optimized over 20 years of refinement.
It features a high-grade opamp design that delivers low noise, low distortion, and high common mode rejection at all gain levels.
Analog I/O
The analog I/O includes two XLR-1/4″ combo mic/line inputs and a harmonically rich discrete JFET DI input, which is designed to replicate the input stage of a classic valve amplifier—plug your guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum machine straight in and start recording instantly.
With balanced 1/4″ stereo speaker outputs and an independent Class-AB 1/4″ headphone output, you can enjoy clear and convenient monitoring through your favorite headphones and active monitors.
8-Channel Digital Input Expansion
The Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface TOSLINK optical input can accept ADAT or S/PDIF digital signals, allowing up to eight additional inputs over a single digital cable.
Expand your recording setup with an ADAT-equipped 8-channel mic pre such as the ASP880 (available separately).
Scroll Control
With a touch of a button, the Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface volume encoder becomes a virtual scroll wheel that allows you to adjust DAW hosts, plug-in parameters, iD14’s mixer app, and even scroll through your iTunes library. Wherever your mouse pointer hovers, the iD knob can scroll to control.
When not using the virtual scroll wheel, the iD button can be assigned to control the unit’s monitoring features such as dim, polarity reverse, mono sum, talkback, and more.
Console-Style Monitor Controller
Take advantage of the onboard console-style monitor control functions including mono sum, polarity, dim, cut, talkback, and cue-mix monitoring; all the pro-level features you’d normally only find in far more expensive interfaces.
Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface Software Mixer
Whether you’re creating low-latency cue mixes or utilizing the flexible monitor control, the Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface tightly integrates the hardware and software to make the recording process easy.
Audient iD14 Desktop 10×4 USB Audio Interface Built-In Talkback
New dedicated talkback technology enables you to utilize any audio source connected to your computer (e.g. your computer’s built-in mic or a USB microphone) as your talkback mic, freeing up valuable mic pres while offering an effective talkback solution no matter where you are.
Rugged Durability
Thanks to all-metal construction, hand-finished aluminum knobs, and high-grade component selection, the iD14 can stand up to countless late nights in the studio and days on the road.
